Michael’s Christmas Wish

When sixteen-year-old Michael, one of our new residents at the Mansion, recently filled out his Christmas wish list, he requested a type of watch that would typically be suitable and appealing to a young child, perhaps seven or eight years old.

The staff member questioned Michael about the watch on the list, thinking that it was possibly a mistake or maybe even a joke.

Michael replied, “I had that watch when I was a little boy during the happy times of our lives. We haven’t had those happy times in a long time.”

Needless to say, the coveted watch remained on Michael’s wish list. I have a feeling that he will be getting that watch.

We have nearly 50 children at the Mansion now, and they will all be overwhelmed with joy on Christmas morning as they open the gifts provided for them by their sponsors. To most of them, it will be their best Christmas ever, and to some it will be their  first real Christmas!

They would be thankful to just have some necessities and a good meal, but because of our generous supporters, they receive not only what they need and a fabulous Christmas dinner, but they also receive so much more.

They are so appreciative. Some of them have never had their own “anything.”

Will you help us make this Christmas the best Christmas ever for our Mansion children?

Would you consider sending a special Christmas gift today of $10, $25, $100…or more, if possible?

A generous gift this holiday season—whatever you can afford—will enable us to provide our children with the special memories of this Holy Season that you so fondly remember from your childhood.

Please act now! Your support will make a difference in these young lives!

You can easily donate online at https://mansionkids.org/give/current-appeal/. Or, you can mail your gift to: Tupelo Children’s Mansion, PO Box 167, Tupelo, MS 38802

Thank you for lighting the way for “our” children as they journey to the hope and healing promised by the gift of the Christ Child.

A former resident writes: “I came to the Mansion with my three siblings after cancer took my mother’s life. I loved living at TCM. We were greatly blessed with nice clothes to wear and given a wonderful Christian education. After graduating from TCM Academy, I went on to Bible college and also secular college. With the help of TCM’s Education & Assistance program, I have a Master’s Degree in Social Work and work as an Elementary Therapist. I’m married to a wonderful man and we are blessed with a beautiful little boy. We are actively involved in a Pentecostal church. I know my mom would be proud of who I am today, and I give so much credit to TCM.

(Michael is not the boy’s real name, nor is he pictured.)
